Well. I am currently getting back into using my art muscles after years of relative inactivity. Just trying to get myself into using digital tools, which currently includes Photoshop and zbrush. When I was younger, I made an idealistic and ultimately foolish choice regarding art. That choice was to ignore the natural talent I had for realism and instead try to develop a more painterly fine art style, because I stubbornly believed I could have a career in fine art and that fine art was definitely NOT inclusive of realistic styles. Also, my parents wanted me to pursue realism so you know how that goes.
Anyways. I struggled into my mid 20s, painting what I wanted and selling very little of it, until I had to forego almost all my artistic pursuits in favour of just working in order to live. Working just to live is terrible for your mental well-being. So here I am now. Grown a bit wiser and ready to learn. There is a LOT to learn, and hopefully I can use this to shake off the rust and work towards...something more?
